The DiSEA research project started on Feb. 1, 2021, with the goal of analyzing success and dropout factors in digital degree programs. To this end, the DiSEA project is working closely with the Virtual University of Applied Sciences - VFH - network.In the DiSEA project the Beuth team works together with a team from the Technical University of Applied Sciences in Lübeck.

The DiSEA project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

On 01.11.2019 the project Students Advice was launched. It aims to exploit the data that universities have about the academic achievements of their current and past students, to devise algorithms and to build tools to

  • identify the different paths that students follow in their curriculum,
  • better understand how these paths influence their progress, and
  • use this knowledge to help students who are in difficulty by providing informed personalized advice.
