PACK IT
The project aims to strengthen academic cooperation and innovation in higher education between the Berlin University of Applied Sciences (BHT) and Ukrainian partner universities. Its goal is to develop practice-oriented study programs, joint teaching formats, and sustainable research partnerships in Packaging, Automation, and IT, thereby contributing to stronger academic networks, talent development, and the European integration of Ukrainian higher education.
Ukrainian and German students take part in joint digital and block courses with scholarships and mentoring support.
Starting in 2025, yearly mobility programs will enable 30 Ukrainian students to complete internships at industrial companies in Germany and the EU, while 32 BHT students will join a program in Ukraine — online in 2025–2026 and on-site from 2027. These exchanges promote cross-cultural understanding, innovation, and strong academic partnerships between Germany and Ukraine.
The project further develops digital, linguistic, teamwork, teaching, and creative skills among students, PhD candidates, and teaching staff. To ensure lasting impact, annual leadership meetings and online capacity-building programs strengthen cooperation and enhance the digital and international management capacities of Ukrainian universities.
A Double Degree Master’s Program between BHT and NUBiP is planned, with aligned curricula, mutual credit recognition, and a joint study pathway for students from both countries.
The project also promotes high-level academic exchange through a structured PhD training program, which includes regular research stays for doctoral candidates and visits by supervisors to ensure close research collaboration and knowledge transfer.
