About
Frank Herrmann is a research assistant and computer scientist in the MAGDa team at Beuth University of Applied Science. He contributes in the BIM-FM project to
integration of multiple IFC based BIM models with different facility management related information sources with heterogeneous data formats (Common Data Environment / CDE):
- 3D point clouds
- Mobile Apps
and
to multi-source query engine based on Semantic Web technologies, using
- NoSQL Graph databases for metadata
- Integration of multiple ontologies and catalogue definition
Frank has a special interest in software architecture and chooses and uses mainly open source software.
Prior to BIM-FM he was engaged in three other research projects with the subject areas e-learning, geodata and geoinformation in the facility management.
