The summer academy is part of a larger international online learning program which consists of 8 different online modules. The course modules are Master level courses and are having a workload which corresponds to 5 ECTS (Credit points). Each credit point represents a workload of 30 hours in order to study and complete the module with a total of 5 x 30 = 150 hours for one module.
The summer academy (Module 08) is well rated with 5 ECTS for the completing of the entire summer school period. Participating in the other modules is not possible, yet but will be possible in the near future. All the modules will be recognized by the organizing universities viz. the Berlin University of Applied Sciences and Technology (BHT) and the Middle East Technical University (METU) in order to facilitate the exchange of students and faculty.
These modules have been developed in the project “Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings in Turkey” implemented by GIZ on behalf of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) as part of the International Climate Initiative (IKI). BMU supports the IKI on the basis of a decision adopted by the German Bundestag.
