Berlin Big Data Center (BBDC)
The Berliner Hochschule für Technik (BHT) is a member of the BMBF-funded Berlin Big Data Center (BBDC) in 2014. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research is thus re-launching research into big data and IT security in Germany. In total, two competence centers were funded. The Beuth University is the only university of applied sciences in Germany represented in the competence centers.
Prof. Dr. Stefan Edlich represents the software side of the BBDC for the BHT and is working on new ways of debugging very large distributed systems.
