Prof. Dr.-Ing. Vicky Goralczyk
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Vicky Goralczyk has been Professor of Bioprocess Engineering at the Berliner Hochschule für Technik since September 2023.
She studied Biotechnology at the Technical University of Berlin (TU Berlin), graduating in 2005 with a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Medical Biotechnology. From 2005 to 2009, she worked as a research associate at the Institute of Process and Chemical Engineering at TU Berlin, where she was part of an interdisciplinary team that developed and operated a perfusion bioreactor for mammalian cell cultivation. In 2010, she earned her doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) from TU Berlin with a dissertation on the development and operation of a perfusion bioreactor for cultivating mammalian cells within a sponge-like ceramic matrix.
From 2011 to 2015, Prof. Goralczyk worked as a Product Manager at the IVF service provider FertiKult Gück GmbH in Berlin. In January 2016, she joined Glycotope GmbH, where she initially worked as a scientist in upstream processing before becoming Head of the Cell Line and Bioprocess Development group. In this role, she led activities in molecular biology laboratories, cell line development, and upstream process development for human and mammalian cell cultures.
From 2022 to 2023, she served as Head of Cell Line and Bioprocess Development at FyoniBio GmbH in Berlin.
Throughout her career, Prof. Goralczyk has focused on application-oriented research, working on internal research projects, industry collaborations, and interdisciplinary research initiatives with a strong emphasis on translating scientific findings into practical bioprocess solutions.
